Cordoba, Mexico

Jamie Trott, Evangelist

Jamie Trott, a student from Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Mass., came to Mexico to help his uncle with meetings in Veracruz.  But when one of the other lay evangelists slated to conduct a series in Cordoba fell ill, Jamie agreed to present the series. After orientation in Mexico City he came to Cordoba and prepared to present the sermons in this rented hall.

Working with local church members he set up the projection system and with a translator, prepared sermons and projected photos which were supplied by Global Evangelism, he was able to launch the series right on schedule.

With tips from his uncle, Ben Kochenower, Jamie learned to coordinate the video projector with the supplied sermon notes each day.

Traveling to the meeting site each evening, he used equipment supplied by Global Evangelism for the 16 sermons. The opening weekend attendance ranged between 300 and 400 people and attendance throughout the series remained high.

With his team of church members and translator Jamie completed the series and was overjoyed as he watched 12 precious souls accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and be baptized.  After returning home he shared the thrill of soul winning with other students at Atlantic Union College and several have agreed to join him later this year to present evangelistic series in another third world country.
