Pascual  Soret, Evangelist

A lay pastor for many years and the owner of Spain's third largest furniture company, Pascual Soret, a founder of ASI in Europe, loves conducting evangelistic meetings. He preached his first campaign when Elder Folkenberg invited him to come to Cuba in January of 2002. Soret recruited the other four evangelists who accompanied him to Mexico from Spain in January. He even put his skill as a musician to work during his meetings in Macuspana.

By the second weekend of his meetings 90 people, including youth, responded to the appeal to yield their lives to Christ and become baptized.

Strong support by local church members helped the meetings to run smoothly. Soret is recruiting lay evangelists to work with local church supporters throughout Europe. "Today Europe is open to evangelistic teams being formed by students from Adventist colleges in France and Spain" he said

Seeing the results of the Holy Spirit's work, Soret stands rejoicing with the baptismal candidates from the Macuspana evangelistic meetings on the final weekend.  The service was part of a mass baptism in a lake at a Tabasco State convention facility in Villahermosa.
