It was while attending the 2002 meeting of Adventist-Laymen's Services and Industries convention in Salamanca, Spain, Josep Moyano learned about Global Evangelism from Elder Folkenberg and accepted his invitation to serve as an evangelist. Leaving his exterior design business in their son's hands, Josep and his wife, Monteserrat, came to Mexico to conduct meetings at the Nueva Villahermosa church.

Moyano found that because the church is located adjacent to the Adventist hospital and near the city center, a  high percentage of the members are professionals and brought their professional friends to the meetings. Many quickly accepted the messages Moyano presented at each meeting.

The members and pastor worked very hard to support the meetings and God blessed abundantly, Moyano said.

When the invitation was presented to accept Jesus and commit their lives to Him, many responded and came forward to signify their commitment.

The Moyanos returned to Barcelona determined to continue their work with Global Evangelism in Spain.
